Why did FedEx's revenue rise 1% y-o-y in Q4'24?

FedEx’s Revenue rose 1% y-o-y to $22.1 billion, primarily due to slightly higher yields for both Express and Ground segments. The average daily volume was down 1% for Express but up 1% for the Ground segment. FedEx also saw its adjusted operating margin expand by 40 bps to 8.5% in Q4’24.

American Express’ stock (NYSE: AXP) has gained 23% YTD, compared to the 15% rise in the S&P500 over the same period. In sharp contrast, American Express’ peer Capital One (NYSE: COF) was up just 5% YTD. Overall, AXP is currently trading at $231 per share, just above its fair value of $228 – Trefis’ estimate for American Express’ valuation.

American Express stock currently pays a dividend yield of 1.22%. On Friday, American Express also signed an agreement to buy Rooam – a tech specialist within the hospitality industry. The fintech giant did not reveal financial details of the aforementioned acquisition.
